My name is Filipe Montes, I am a wedding photographer based in Porto, Portugal.
I am easygoing, I like things that are simple, natural, and authentic.
I like the beach, watching TV series, and dining out. I love traveling and do so whenever I can. Discovering new places, new cultures, and different people.
I have two cats, Chiquita and Tigresa. The first one spends her days sleeping, while the second one is always eager to play.

Clarice Spector once said that life is made up of moments that remain. And without a doubt, this is the most accurate definition of my work. Taking a photograph is preserving moments and emotions.
When taking photographs, I like to do so in a simple and authentic way, paying special attention to the most subtle details. I like to let things flow naturally and capture the fun, unexpected, and touching moments.
My work is based on documentation combined with careful editorial aesthetics. With the aim of capturing memories with elegance and depth, I value what is genuine and lasting. I seek timelessness in images and the real emotion of the moments experienced by each couple.

PHOTOGRAPHY IS MEANT TO BE SIMPLE
For me, photography should be simple and uncomplicated. It's about being close without being intrusive. I want you to feel comfortable with me, even though I know it's not always easy to be in front of a camera. It's rare for a couple to say they enjoy being photographed, so I avoid interfering with your day, allowing things to happen naturally. During your session, I will guide you so that you feel more comfortable and the photos show who you really are.
